VIPpass vs Linktree and Link.me
The link in bio for creators who sell group access.
Linktree and Link.me are great at showing all your links in one place. They are not built to sell access to a Telegram, WhatsApp or Snapchat group, to take mobile money, or to pay creators in most of Africa. VIPpass is. Here is an honest comparison, including when you should stay where you are.
What is the best Linktree alternative for paid groups?
For creators who sell access to private Telegram, WhatsApp or Snapchat groups, VIPpass gives you a free link in bio page with price cards and checkout built in. Fans pay with mobile money, card or USDT, entry and expiry are handled for you, and creators, 18+ creators included, are paid in their local currency.
How it works
Switch in an afternoon, or run both.
Step 1: Create your paid spaces
Connect your Telegram group or channel, WhatsApp group or Snapchat private story, and set 7, 30 or 90-day plans.
Step 2: Copy your links across
Add up to 20 of your links, such as Instagram, TikTok and your website, and drag them into order.
Step 3: Get verified
Upload your ID, take a live selfie and record a short video. A real person reviews it, and we aim to decide within 24 hours.
Step 4: Swap the link in your bio
Publish your page and replace your old bio link with vippass.cc/@yourname, or add it as the first link on your current page.
Why creators look elsewhere
Three walls creators with paid groups hit.
Getting paid in Africa
Linktree pays creator earnings through Stripe to a list of supported countries. Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda and South Africa are not on it. Link.me does not publish a list of payout countries.
Charging for 18+ access
Both allow links to legal adult content marked as sensitive. But Linktree's Community Standards say you may not collect payment for adult content through Linktree, and Link.me's Community Standards only allow advertising adult media sold on other platforms.
Running the group itself
Neither lists a way to let paying fans into a Telegram or WhatsApp group, or to remove them when their time is up. You still check payments, send invites and track expiry dates by hand.

Be honest
When Linktree or Link.me is the better choice.
You sell products, not access
If you sell e-books, presets, courses or bookings, Linktree and Link.me do that and VIPpass does not. VIPpass only sells access to your groups.
You need lots of links
Both offer unlimited links on their free plans. VIPpass allows up to 20, which is enough for most creators but not for a large catalogue.
You are paid in a supported country
If you live in a country where Linktree or Link.me can pay you, your fans pay by card, and your content is not 18+, their checkout may be all you need.
Or use both
Keep your page and put VIPpass first.
You do not have to switch everything. Put your VIPpass link as the first item on your Linktree or Link.me page, with a label that says what fans get. Fans take one extra tap, and you keep the tools you like.
If your bio link is mostly there to sell your groups, a link in bio page with price cards and checkout built in usually loses fewer fans. VIPpass is free to start and the page is included on both plans. We are onboarding creators from a waitlist now.
Is VIPpass a Linktree alternative?
For creators who sell access to private Telegram, WhatsApp or Snapchat groups, yes. Every verified creator gets a free link in bio page with their paid spaces, prices and up to 20 links. If you sell products or need unlimited links, Linktree may still fit you better. See the page.
Can I sell adult content through Linktree or Link.me?
Their Community Standards allow links to legal adult content marked as sensitive, but Linktree says you may not collect payment for adult content through Linktree, and Link.me only allows advertising adult media you sell elsewhere. VIPpass is built for verified creators who charge for access to their groups, 18+ creators included. See VIPpass for 18+ creators.
Can Linktree pay me in Nigeria, Kenya or Ghana?
As of 19 October 2026, Linktree's list of countries where creators can receive earnings does not include Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda or South Africa. VIPpass pays creators in those countries in their local currency, to a mobile money wallet or bank account in their own name.
Can fans pay with mobile money on Linktree or Link.me?
Neither lists mobile money. Linktree uses Stripe for products and PayPal or Square for tips, and Link.me uses Stripe checkout. On VIPpass, fans pay with mobile money, card or USDT, depending on their country. More on payments.
Can I move my Linktree links to VIPpass?
Yes, by adding them to your VIPpass page. There is no import, so you add each link yourself, up to 20, and drag them into order.
